Has anyone mentioned that the new company Wicomico County signed to do school pictures this year. Delivered empty packages to a slew of parents. When the school was asked the parents were told the company was not answering or returning calls. These parents have already paid in advance for the photos. The company is Barksdale. School only said that hopefully they can address when they return for retakes.

We weren't happy at all with the pictures, and hoping retaking today will be better. I don't like having to prepay, and not even getting to select from a choice of proofs/poses.
Ours was fine. Really like the new format in how pictures are delivered.

LifeTouch does Somerset and they aren't any better. 2 out of 4 years now we have not gotten the pictures. Since it involves 2 different schools I don't think it is a admin problem. Of course the first time we paid cash. So we got nothing. This time I paid by check but haven't gotten anything yet.
Interesting question - which is more important pictures of our children or getting a real education?

If you want quality pictures and choices of poses have someone else take them. Or take them yourself. School picture prices have always been outrage.
I have had to call them and leave messages and they got back to me a few hours later. They stated the problem with several schools is that the photographer put something over the order form, hence not being able to tell what package was purchased. That being said I won't order them next year if they continue with Barksdale. The quality or organization is not there. As far as the price goes that is determined by each individual school because they use it as a fundraiser.

Speaking as a grandmom.....I don't care who takes the pictures....I would love to have a yearly school picture of my grandchildren. I think it would be really creative if someone would take the children to the front of the school and have them pose by the door while holding up a sign as to which grade or which year. With all the nice phone pictures we see there should not be a problem for any parent to take a photo and just text it to grandparents. The school pictures I got this year are pretty bad backgrounds and no years listed. I could do better on my own.
I have dealt with life touch for years and only one time was I disappointed I contacted them and they made it right I’ve never had any issues with any of the customer service they are always aiming to please so if anyone has any issues I would highly suggest that you reach out to them because they’re not gonna let you down this new company Barksdale is terrible there pictures look like they were taken in the 70s and 80s they look like my elementary school pictures it’s terrible
