Bowie girl tries to run over 5 Miami cops; shot, killed as result

Temple University student shot dead by Miami police after she runs over officer

A Temple University student was shot and killed by police in Miami Beach on Sunday after she charged her car toward the officers, striking and injuring one — an incident a witness said “played out like a movie set.”

Cariann Denise Hithon, 22, was driving her black BMW when she crashed into several cars in South Beach, a popular tourist district, police said. Hithon ran the red light and was traveling “at some rate of speed,” police said. Michael Davis, who witnessed the chaotic scene, told WSVN Hithon repeatedly rear-ended cars.

“She rear-ended it, and after she rear-ended it, she drove off,” Davis told WSVN. “She actually drove off again and ran over a police officer, and after that, shots were fired.”

Another witnessed captured Hithon hitting Officer David Cajuso.

Miguel Garcia, another witness, recalled: “So everyone is like, ‘Oh my God! Oh my God!’ And people started running after her car. Like she wanted to escape no matter what.”

Imagine that, a black girl. I am confident she was brainwashed by society, her culture, into thinking cops are bad.

You gotta pay to play and she paid with her life.

Just checked case search......another Black entitled that the law means nothing. Numerous traffic related things on her rap sheet.

The blood is on the NFL.

OMG... Why do the cops always have to use deadly force? Couldn't they just shoot a tire and gently place her under arrest? /sarcasm

Looks more like alcohol and/or drugs than it does politics.

Her poor family.

Her father said she wanted to be a lawyer.

Maybe she "wanted to", but she wasn't serious about it:

"While attending Hampton University, Hithon had contact with police at least six times and was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery, marijuana possession and falsely identifying herself to a police officer, according to court records. None of those charges ended in a conviction.

She was found guilty of speeding in December 2015 and improper control while driving in March 2016. Her license was also restricted for six months in 2016 to driving to and from work and church in relation to a marijuana possession charge in March of that year.

In Maryland, she was also charged with several motor vehicle offenses in 2015 and 2016, including speeding, driving with a suspended license and giving a false name to police."

Traffic violations is not a "rap sheet"

I thought tearing down all those Confederate statues was supposed to fix all their problems. Maybe hit-and-run and trying to run over 5 officers is supposed to be legal now.

Glad she didn't make her mark in Maryland. Nobody cares in FL.

You wanna play, you gonna pay!

Oh No, it wasnt her, it was that damn BMW she was driving. It couldn't be her, she was an outstanding student aspiring to be a lawyer with Harvard potential. Those Beamers are deadly! I propose all out ban on BMW manufactured product, for the public safety, of course. (Sarcasm)

Someone felt entitled and privileged. Fancy car, lying to cops, drugs, multiple universities. No tears; hope cop she hit is ok.

Using a 4000 lb vehicle to mow down Police. I believe that is called attempted murder. Also, that is a 4000-pound weapon and the police were just defending themselves. Looks like a good shoot to me.

At 22, she was a woman, not a girl.

That'll teach her!

Bet she won't do that again!
