Respect for the individual is one of our core beliefs at Walmart. And the role we play in communities around the country to build a more diverse and inclusive society is more critical than ever as the tragic events in Charlottesville over the weekend painfully reminded us. Our prayers are with the victims and their families.
As we watched the events and the response from President Trump over the weekend, we too felt that he missed a critical opportunity to help bring our country together by unequivocally rejecting the appalling actions of white supremacists. His remarks today were a step in the right direction and we need that clarity and consistency in the future..
I will continue to strongly advocate on behalf of our associates and customers, and urge our elected officials to do their part to promote a more just, tolerant and diverse society.

He said both sides had blame. How do you translate that to "White Supremacists?
It's like you only hear what you want him to say, then spread that lie everywhere.
Go back and read what he really said.
Walmart respects individuals.... But won't provide healthcare to it's underpaid workforce and purposely keeps employee hours under "full time" status. Also, buys and sells tons of products made in sweatshops (to put it kindly) across the globe. But, yeah, you go ahead and preach about right and wrong.
Walmart treats the workers so good they always look so happy.
Walmart CEO you are part of group think. You are not allowed to think on your own because that is Politically Incorrect. President Trump condemns all violence and then went on to name neo-nazis and white supremacists. But that does not fit your agenda so you have to twist what you heard into something you did not hear
Guess which failed presidential candidate lived in Arkansas while her husband was governor, and was rewarded with a Wal-Mart Board of Directors seat?
Walmart cares about profit end of story. As a ceo you should be smarter then to comment.
Don't believe in diversity; believe in "E pluribus Unum" - Out of many, one.
Yea and Walmart doesn't treat them employees like slaves either
Go figure
Hypocrites
I agree. This guy IS part of the problem. He is a hypocrite of large magnitude and I agree that his main purpose in life is a fat bottom line.
