The police boycott of Dunkin’ Donuts is fully on

The NYPD runs on . . . bodega coffee.

The police boycott of Dunkin’ Donuts is apparently heating up, as a sergeant was spotted Sunday walking into the 73rd Precinct station house with trays full of what appeared to be generic, corner-market brew.

“No D&D in the 7-3,” he proudly announced.

The brew-haha began last Sunday when a worker at a Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin-Robbins at 1993 Atlantic Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant refused to scoop ice cream for two 73rd Precinct detectives — allegedly because they were cops.

Police union heads called for a boycott of the national chain, and the movement has since percolated throughout the department.

I am not a cop and never went there. I did get gift certificates for occasions, but will stop that now.

Guess Google will be hiring the DD worker after they are eventually fired.

There is a lesson to be drawn.

Bad worker towards customers = customer push-back.

Bad company culture = terminated employee for raising touchy issues.

Or, does this mean that cops are just as hardheaded as DD workers? Seems a little childish.

DD doesn't have very good coffee anyway and way too sweet if u order sugar. I much prefer Wawa or McD's

Oh no, what is DD going to do without all those cops getting their free cup of coffee?

DD beats Krispy Kreme and that nasty mud tasting coffee from Starbucks any day.

Way to take a stand NYPD! That's almost like protesting police because of the actions of one or two cops.

The cops were refused ice cream, and they boycott the other side of the store, the chain that sells coffee???? They should be boycotting Baskins-Robbins!

I am for this worker who refused to give service to cops, if cops will shoot you and let you bleed out and not render aid, forget them, and their service at restaurants too... This is the only way to stick it to cops who are bad, not saying these specific cops are bad, but when a bad cop does bad things and no justice will be done, this is the exact thing you should do, not serve them or their friends or family and maybe, just maybe the will get the message that what they did or are doing is wrong... Furthermore, There is no law, get that? There is no law that says a cops is better than anyone else, and has the RIGHT over anyone else to go home alive over anyone else... You people are just to stupid to see that cops lie, and they lie when they file reports yet you believe them always and unequivocally... Then you see later in the news how they are corrupt, or did illegal stuff, then still ignore all of that and say cops are good...

I don't know of anyone good, who gets paid, from your tax dollars to ruin your life or someone else and has fun doing it or fist bumps after doing something to them... That is not a hero nor is it professional... You think because they so called put their life on the line, they are better than anyone else and that is just stupid thinking... What about, firefighters, or military men or steal workers who put up buildings who put their lives on the line??? Are they equal or better or worse than cops??? You never mention them or praise them... Instead you suck the ass cheeks of cops...

You know why you don't see a lot of military men or firefighters and other people who put their lives on the line being hated or mistreated??? Because they don't do bad things to you in the name of laws, or fun or just doing their job or following orders!!!!! Cops earn the hate they receive nothing less and nothing more... If cops treated and did for the populace, as they do for each other, there would be no problems...

I saw last night a video of body cam footage where a cop shot another cop who was undercover and didn't know it... Treated him like a dirt bag, and didn't even give the undercover a chance to de-escalate or do as commanded by the cop, so the cop shot him 9 times... When they found out it was a cop, they rushed and ran to try and save his life, hell, the one cop who shot him cried, had it been anyone else, you would have laid there bleeding out... This shows cops don't give a shit about anyone but themselves and their so called blue line brothers... And that is just part of the problem...

You have a real hate issue. Just who's number do you have in your phone to call in an emergency. I can't imagine you would call 911 with your utter distrust of all men and women in blue. Based on your tirade, I'm guessing you've have some of your own bad encounters with the cops. If I was a cop (I'm not) and I knew you felt that way about me, just for BEING a cop, I probably WOULD let you "bleed out." And if you want to refuse service to cops, you better own the restaurant (you don't) or you will be fired. And if you actually did own the restaurant that refused service to cops, you would not be in business much longer. It would be a really, really stupid business move. I don't necessarily like or dislike cops. But I do think that psychologically damaged people are attracted to the profession, and once hired, tend to group together and protect each other from their mis-deeds.
