What crime?
Detectives made contact with Jacobs in the vehicle and detected the odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle was conducted which revealed .44 grams of powder cocaine, $612.00 in suspected drug proceeds and two suboxone strips."
Whoa, there. There was the odor of marijuana, but none was found? How can that be, and if there wasn't any, was the search justified?
Let's not let the "odor of marijuana" where there is none be a carte blanche for an unlimited search of anyone's person or property.
If Lime light Lewis and his merry revenue collectors spent less time harassing people trying to get to work in the morning, they could do the investigations/undercover work necessary to bust dealers in WICO. Might also help if he wasn't protecting OC, Baltimore and trying to get airtime on Fox news.
Sometimes I think that some cops go around all day (and night) long with the smell of marijuana in their noses, just waiting to blame it on someone.
