“It feels terrific to be named in the top 10 best beaches in the U.S. by Trip Advisor,” said Jessica Waters, communications manager for the Town of Ocean City. “Being the only beach outside of Florida or Hawaii tells us that we are doing something right when it comes to providing our visitors with the type of vacation destination that they are looking for.”
The winners were chosen by millions of travelers over a 12-month period and only Hawaii and Florida had beaches that cracked the top 10 this year.
“The fact that we were ranked based on the feedback from TripAdvisor users is something to be very proud of, both as a municipality, but also for our business community,” Waters said.
Siesta beach in Florida, Ka’anapali beach in Hawaii, St. Pete beach in Florida, Clearwater Beach in Florida and Beach at Panama City in Florida rounded out the top five beaches.

My faimly goes to north myrtle beach and it's a whole lot better then O.C.
OC is 5 miles wide + 10 miles long...there is not enough parking or road space on the road to come to the beach...takes me on Holidays in the Summer up to 5 hours to drive 25 miles to work....it is a joke....and the 50 draw bridge??? good grief....that backs traffic all the way back past Berlin Walmart.....
All I can say is that the TripAdvisor is rigged. There has to be a payoff or bribe somewhere, as there is no way in Sam's He_ _ that anyone in their right mind would want to visit or vacation in that rat-hole. Between the high property taxes, high water bills, parking violations, front foot assessments, amusement taxation among a whole plethora of other taxes, it's as if the town of OC has a license to steal, literally.

Vacationers aren't paying property taxes, water bills etc. The majority are parking their cars in the driveways/garages or parking lots of the homes/hotel rooms they rent and walking to the beach and restaurants. They don't know or care about all the politics and backroom dealings going on within the city.
Don't like it, don't go or move. Biggest bunch of complainers ever to have lived.
Obviously they have never been to OC!!
They should ban cars in OC and make west OC a parking lot.
7:01 they have that now and it is a freak show at the bus stop waiting to get in to OC from west OC parking.
No one is forcing you, period. You enjoy ripping off the vacationers hard earned money. Honestly you should be ashamed. FYI McDonald's is hiring in the bury easy commute for you and no traffic to cry over.

People have obviously never been to Ocean City in the Summer when all of the Thugs from Baltimore come to what use to be our beautiful beach town. It is overrun by Thugs these days, and I won't take my Family there because I really don't want my Wife and Daughters to end up raped or worse.
Ocean City isn't even the 10th best beach in MARYLAND!!!
