Four Agencies To Abolish (Along With The Department Of Education)

In the wake of the Senate's confirmation of the appointment of Betsy DeVos, the protests from the left prompted Republican Congressman Thomas Massie to offer them a way to get rid of DeVos: eliminate the Department of Education.

According to Massie, he'd been planning to introduce the bill for more than a year, and the controversy over DeVos appeared to be as good a time as any.

There's no harm in Massie introducing the bill, of course, although as I've noted here, the odds of Republicans offering much help to Massie in passing the bill are pretty low.

But as long as we're identifying cabinet-level agencies for the chopping block, why stop with the Department of Education?

And the failed boondoggle known as the department of Energy, their goal was suppose to make the US independent of foreign oil and it has failed miserably!

There's too many bureaucratic agencies that can be trimmed away. Getting rid of the Dept of Education would be a kick in the teeth of places like SU. Couldn't happen to better folks. SU doesn't turn out responsible, right thinking people. Molly L. is a brilliant example of how education system and SU have failed miserably.

EPA, DEA, ATF, BOE, FDA, BLM, DOT, IRS, the FED.

Those would be a good start.

Frankly, we should abolish Congress. They are just a bunch of people who are wasting the time of Our President as he tries to fix the mess that Obummer left us in. Even Republicans won't approve President Trump's Cabinet Appointments quickly enough. If they don't want to be part of a Great Revolution, they should Get the Hell Out of the Way!

I don't think anyone from either party would want to get rid of congress. Even with the many problems and hiccups we have with any government, we still need the checks and balances from each branch.
