Grin, America, and T-Rex for $5 at the Alexandria Roller Rink in '70 or '71. America never showed up but it didn't matter. Nils Lofgren was great and Marc Bolan was probably a little better.
Alice Cooper Philly. The most gross of all concerts. The things he did on stage almost made me never go to another concert. Sick Sick Man. But good music !
Summer of 83 Rock Against Reagan on the national mall in DC, Dirty Rotten Imbeciles, Millions Of Dead Cops, The Dead Kennedys were the headliners. Oh, and it was the annual Smoke In where you could smoke weed if you stayed in the designated area.
Tony Orlando and Dawn but the two best concerts ever were Rod Stewart and The Eagles with a close second being Alan Jackson. Honorable mention is Steve Miller - a genius on the guitar.
Well, when I was around 15 years old, I went to a few concerts at the Delmarva Convention Center, which I have no clue what band was playing. The concert that I "remember" going to, was Kenney Chesney.
Mac Wiseman around 1953 or 1954 I think it was in Richmond Va. We used to sleep in our cars and in the early morning we would steal milk and orange juice from peoples front porch milk box. We were 16 and 17 year old kids and it was always a great time.
Wasn't my first concert but I saw the Stones, Journey and _________ at JFK Stadium probably in 1979 or 1980. 98,000 people and I was pretty nervous. There were a whole lot of drugs in that crowd. Anything could have happened. It didn't and everything was cool but I never wanted to go to a concert that large again.
Harry Chapin, 1977 Duluth Arena (MN) I got to see him twice more before he died. Was trying to get tickets for his upcoming concert in Dallas, the day he died.
