The Baltimore Ravens came up with a brilliant play that allowed them to successfully run out the final 11 seconds of their game against the Cincinnati Bengals and to do it all they had to do was commit a boatload of penalties.
With the Ravens leading by seven points, they faced a fourth down at their own 22-yard line with 11 seconds to go. There was too much time for the punter, Sam Koch, to scramble around and run out the clock and they certainly didn't want to punt the ball to the Bengals and given them a reasonable shot at either a punt return or a Hail Mary.
Instead, the Ravens held the entire defense — on purpose.
After Koch took the snap, it looked like a WWE wrestling Royal Rumble broke out all over the field. Everywhere you looked a Ravens player was holding a Bengals defender and flags came flying from the officials.

Never have liked the ravens , they went to the Clinton school of ethics . Another crucial problem with the code of Al Sharpton and Jackson .
8:57 did you fall and bump your head or did you forget your medication this morning?
Bottom line, just a smart play. Ravens do need a lot of help on offense, especially offensive line. If it wasn't for kicker Tucker they wouldn't win many games.
8:57 - What the hell are you rambling about? It is a football game. No need to get too deep here. You just had to bitch about something, didn't ya?
Legal - but they are cowards!! NFL is becoming a big joke! I love the game, but this sort of crap makes me want to start watching golf. I did enjoy the broncos/KC defensive battle. Reminded me of how football is supposed to be played.
Football is scripted. The NFL chooses who will win before the season starts.
Bush league is what this is. I can only imagine the response if say the Steelers or Patriots used this tactic to run out the clock against he Ravens. My dear lord we would have (more) riots in Baltimore. It may be creative, but it is low class. One of the players has the Bengals number 33 in a choke hold. This is the same fan base that said the Patriots cheated in the playoffs when they would report a lineman eligible at the last second to give the Ravens no time to figure out who to cover. Totally legal, just another way to skirt the rules.
are injuries scripted?
It was a great strategy.....don't know which coach called it, but, it was fantastic! Right in line with the fake spike from a QB or the QB running out to catch a pass after a handoff!!!!!! GREAT CALL RAVENS! You haters, get your pacifiers and coloring books....LOL
Guess that's how confident they are with the cover team .
11:15 what's wrong with watching golf
Any whining about professional players salaries?
DON'T buy the merchandise. Once consumer interest goes away, so go the salaries. i.e., NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB (where BOTH have guaranteed salaries!!)
Stop the support of this type "entertainment" then the ridiculous talk of $100 to $250 MILLION dollar salaries go by the wayside!
Someone mentioned greed is good in another post. Yeah, but only so far and for the elite.

Right but what would you say if the Steelers used this design against the Ravens? I can only imagine. Classless act by a classless organization.
Joe, post a picture of the WHAMBALANCE for you to call!!!!!!
BRILLIANT!

No, the plays you mentioned used deception to make a play. THIS action by the crows is an illegal stunt. I thought the game of football was about honor? There is NO honor is this illegal, classless stunt. They may have gained a victory, but they lost in the larger picture.
Just another nail in NFL's coffin. But one should expect no better when you have jerks like colon taking a knee when others stand for the flag, and others imitating him.
Maybe the fans should start their own football strike and not watch, buy tickets, buy merchandise or show support in any way until players, coaches and management get their collective heads out of their butts.
