President Obama delivered a long-winded lecture to the press on Friday about its “unfair” treatment of Hillary Clinton during the campaign, drawing ire from mainstream journalists.
The president, who was delivering his final 2016 news conference, implied the media’s “obsession” with Clinton’s leaked emails did more damage to the former secretary of state than the Russian cyber attacks against Democratic political networks.
“This was an obsession that dominated the news coverage,” Obama said. “So I do think it is worth us reflecting how it is that a presidential election of such importance, of such moment, with so many big issues at stake and such a contrast between the candidates came to be dominated by a bunch of these leaks.”
Journalists from outlets including the Huffington Post, MSNBC, and CNN took to Twitter to sound off their frustration with the president’s last speech of the year.

Yeah, those emails are not at all important. Neither is the hacked private server.
The reason for the disconnect by the voters to what Obama said were of so much importance was simply that We The People did not agree with what he and others thought were important.
Most of those "important issues" were created by Obama, and were meant to divide us farther than we had been in over fifty years, and to make us weaker than we have been as a country in over 100 years. That's quite a legacy upon which to build.
How about the lack of coverage and the down playing of the email scandal? If anything they totally protected her. It's only when so much damming evidence came out from wikileaks and the FBI, was the press forced to address these issues. Or the money for favors through the Clinton foundation? She has done enough to be in federal prison for years. Martha Stewart did far less and ended up in Federal prison for insider trading.
So Dems, how did Wag the Dog turn out for ya? Oh I see, still cryin eh?
Obama acts like an intellectual observer instead of the one who created a lot of this mess.
Legacy...what legacy? Obama care, disintegrated; Syria, blood on his hands (red line ignored)from the mass murders; ISIS, more blood on his hands; Foreign Policy, non-existent since we are not respected by foreign governments; civil discord with no respect for lawful authority; more people on entitlements than any time in the country's history; more unemployed/under employed since the great depression and to top it off Michelle says there is now no hope since Trump was elected.
"Liberal Media" goes after Obama. Interesting how the media is only biased and liberal when it's pointing out GOP corruption and bad plans.
Thank God these fools will soon be gone
