If he is wrong as usual... I think that wboc will let him go this time! This is a serious and bad call to make. The European model which is the most accurate in a decade is calling for the eye to be just outside ocean city and the wind wall over wicomico county. If they don't fire him well ... what to you expect from a garbage ass media outlet? And remember... he maybe saying no rain for us and we all know theyre really talking about dover and the rest of central delaware.
It is either the tourist angle or he has been told what will happen and is reporting as he was instructed.

5:24, First of all I/We never claimed to be meteorologists. However, funny how whenever WE publish weather information opposite of WBOC, we are always right and they are always wrong. I'll remind you, we said 10 days ago this storm was coming and WBOC immediately stated it would stay out at sea and we had nothing to worry about. Again, we were right, they were wrong. As for what WE believe will happen, WE believe we will in fact see quite a bit of rain, something WBOC calls HUMIDITY but not rain, nor do their images/graphics show any rain.
Hey Dan, I have friends in Florida. Try and make some friends down south, they just might help you better judge your forecasts.
My prediction, WBOC is more interested in bringing people to the Shore over a major holiday weekend then they are in telling the truth. I'll add, our local traffic blows them away so this WILL impact the trust their viewers will have in them from here on out.

I really don't think there's a big draw from tourists in Salisbury and the surrounding areas to fill up the beach if he was in Baltimore or Philadelphia I could see having an effect. I mean how many people do you think really watch this clown station

Having lived on delmarva for nearly 15 yrs....now in florida 3 yrs....I can say without a doubt....the shore has the worst news reports I have ever watched.....and weather???? Dan made us laugh....down here we get great..honest news and our weather folks are top notch!..you are all going to have a wet weekend.....this storm is large and a mess....wboc is useless....
Accu Weather, The Weather Channel, Weather Underground, and the national Weather service stated heavy winds and rain expected Saturday and Sunday.
This was posted to me at 6pm tonight. What is this guy smoking. Why is he still at WBOC? Dennis Kettier was many times better with his forecasts. Bob Burnett Kurie as well. I know Dennis wants to come back. Can't they make this happen?
Maybe he should consider retiring. Maybe teach meteorology at a local community college? They say those who can't teach!!!! I think he is knowledgeable, but he just isn't accurate. I'm sure he had his time, but I think that time is over. He seems to be a nice guy, but I think he needs to do something else.

I suppose he would also suggest that a heroin addict seeking rehabilitation isn't a drug addict. I know I will get some sort of smart remark, but just to let you know, I won't entertain it. I know the weather is based on predictability, but there is a margin for error that he seems to fall short sides on. Dan may be a friend, dad and or loved one of someone, but that doesn't mean someone as he should be immune to the opinion of others. I have no problem with him personally, only professionally. If you intend to be a local figure spewing out weather predictions, stand by them, get an opinion or accept opinions.

Most of you who have commented need to take tomorrow off from alcohol.I can even tell WHAT you have been drinking.In your case it's an expensive wine,but in other cases it's scotch and then bourbon.The attitudes reflect the alcohol content.Just give it a rest,at least long enough for rational thought to set in.
