In creating its new solar solution, Musk calls for a "solar-roof-with-battery product" that allows users to generate their own power. The service would be managed by a mobile app, the plan notes. Musk adds that folding SolarCity's operations into Tesla's is necessary to make that happen.

As part of the plan to grow Tesla's vehicle lineup, you can expect a new, heavy-duty truck and what appears to be an all-electric solution for public transportation.
"Both are in the early stages of development at Tesla and should be ready for unveiling next year," Musk writes.
As noted around the same time that the Model 3 was introduced, a smaller SUV is also on the way, which will share the same platform as the 3.

So, I charge up my Tesla at a remote station while the smokestacks at the power stations puff more smoke. And this s a "clean" energy?
Think about this. Burn the gas right in the car engine or bun the same fuel 40 miles away, send it as electricity 100 miles away, then charge batteries.
Burning the fuel directly in my vehicle from the source is more energy efficient.
The US Government gives his solar companies billions of dollars and then pays US citizens 30% of the cost to buy his products. The product requires batteries to operate that have to be replaced often.
A Tesla recharge bank is at the far end of the Centre. Have never seen it in use.
20 minutes to 50%; 75 minutes to 100%.
Flyers on TWA used to joke it meant Try Waiting Awhile. New meaning, I guess.
Delusional to believe electricity can meet out lifestyle requirements by itself.
I'm 56 and have been hearing "the end of fossil fuels is near" crap all my life.
What a bunch of crap!
