KEITH A. VANCE CONVICTED OF SEX ABUSE OF A MINOR AND RELATED OFFENSES

On July 19, 2016, a Wicomico County jury found Keith Alan Vance, 36, guilty of Second Degree Sex Offense, Sex Abuse of a Minor and Third Degree Sex Offense, following a one-day jury trial. The victim was between the ages of five and six years old when Vance committed the offenses in 2011-2013. Sentencing was deferred so that Vance could be evaluated as a sex offender.

The case was investigated by the Wicomico County Child Advocacy Center and prosecuted by Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Karen M. Dean.

Wicomico County Deputy State’s Attorney Ella Disharoon commended lead investigator Ed Fissel of the Salisbury Police Department and stated, “Because of the dedication of our Child Advocacy Center team, a young child received justice today and can begin to rebuild her life knowing that she is safe.”

Strong work CAC. Why did the Maryland State Police pull out of the CAC ??? Makes no sense. I guess writing tickets is more important.

Wish we had such a dedicated SA and LE team like this in Somerset County. There was actually a child care provider in Princess Anne who operated a licensed daycare for children who lied to get her license by willfully and knowingly housing an out of state registered child sex offender in her home thus providing him with unlimited access to children. Authorities were notified but no action was taken. SOMERSET COUNTY POLITICS AT ITS BEST as she was "connected."
