Meteorologist Forced to Put Sweater On During Live Broadcast Because Station Received ‘A Lot of Emails’ About Her Dress

Some KTLA-TV viewers from Los Angeles, California, didn’t like meteorologist Liberté Chan’s outfit Saturday — and they weren’t afraid to let the station know.

In the video, Chan was presenting Saturday morning’s weather report when, out of nowhere, a floating hand appeared, holding a cardigan.

“You want me to put this on?” a bewildered Chan asked. “Why? ‘Cause it’s cold?”

An off-camera voice quickly responded, “We’re getting a lot of emails.”

No matter how many emails I send to WBOC. They still will not hand Dan a bag put over his head.

Am I missing something? She appeared to be dressed appropriately unless someones' husband was ogling over her.

there are some prudes in this world. If they see anything that resembles cleavage they want rant about "keep it classy".

I noticed a while back that first one, then ALL of the female meteorologists at the weather channel started wearing the same style dress. It's always a bright color with some sort of dark or black panel on the sides around the waist. It is very obviously designed to slim their appearance but I find them hiddiously ugly. Now there are women in news wearing them all over. I hope it's not a fashion trend starting and I'm glad this girl broke the mold.

She made the GAYS and Transgender mad too @ SU here on Camden Avenue

Don't get it. The girl is beautiful, not wearing anything vulgar or in appropriate. Must have been a bunch of fat ugly hausfraus that found it objectionable.

Nice dress for a cocktail party, but for the weather? I didn't want to look at the map. Too many sparkles to distract me.

Just ridiculous. It hard to believe some people are this way. she looked OK to me.

I think she's dressed just perfectly!

If you watch her and don't see the weather map and don't hear a word she said, then you can't say she made the wrong forecast!

Win-Win!

The dress was fine for a party, but not very professional for a news program.

Inappropriate for work. This is something I would wear out on date night. Looks unprofessional.

They forgot to say the calls came from women that are ugly, and look like Hitler-y Clinton.

This is a party dress not a wear to work dress. I was not offened by the dress though. I think the station handled this wrong. They should have never made her put the sweater on during a live broadcast and embarrass her.

Those black side-paneled dresses were made popular about 20 years ago by Oprah during one of her big weight losses.

Ugly women are always jealous of pretty ones.

I think it was entirely staged for publicity- and it worked!

Networks seem to be promoting themselves by having their women news anchors or meteorologists dress inappropriately for broadcast. There are families with kids watching and too much exposure of body parts is inappropriate. Our family doesn't go to the beach for that reason. There are still some of us who believe in dressing modestly while you're in public view.
