WASHINGTON — A former member of the Prince George’s County school board has been sentenced to probation for using an assistance program for low-income families to get free school lunches for her own child.
Lynette Mundey, 34, was convicted in February on charges that she misused the free school lunch program, intended for families with a combined annual income of $40,000 or less.
When she was indicted, Mundey was making $93,000 annually as an education board member and a federal employee. The lunches were valued at about $1,700.
On Friday, she was sentenced to three years of supervised probation and was ordered to perform 100 hours of community service.

Deliberately defrauding the system, stealing $1,700 from the needy...and she gets probation and some community service.
I thought $1,700 in theft was a felony?
Let some non-privileged individual steal $170 in electricity, and see if they don't get jail time and a fine. Can't believe they fired her, even.
Oh, and she claims she's being "singled out because of her race" of course. She's black. PG County as got to be 80% black. And the school system employees, especially the "important" ones, probably 97% black.

I'd like to know why "Low income" families on SNAP can't feed their own kids? They are getting foodstamps and free food at school, talk about a waste of resources.
