Donald Trump’s decision to skip the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington was an exercise in sound political logic, according to a man who knows something about the subject.
“Why give the anti-Trump activists a target?” tweeted former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who acknowledged that “the votes are in Kansas not Washington.”
Gingrich said Friday that Mitt Romney’s anti-Trump speech typified “the panic of the establishment wing of the Party,” adding that having Trump as a likely nominee “absolutely drives them crazy.”
