Kersey Autopsy Report

On 2/18/16 at approximately 1921 hours Troopers from the Maryland State Police Princess Anne Barracks responded to 11345 Brocket Square, Apt. 6A, Princess Anne, MD for a death investigation.

Upon arrival the Troopers identified the deceased as Margaret Linnel Kersey, 44 of Princess Anne, MD. Kersey was found deceased in an apartment where the primary heat source was a kerosene heater. A second individual was also located in the apartment that was unresponsive and transported to PRMC for medical treatment. Kersey was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore for an autopsy. A cause of death has not yet been determined at this time and carbon monoxide poisoning has not been ruled out.

On 3/1/16 the autopsy report was received from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The results of the report were that Kersey died of combined drug (Cocaine/Fentanyl) and alcohol intoxication. Kersey's carbon monoxide levels were normal. The manner of death could not be determined.
