ANNAPOLIS, MD - The Hogan administration today strengthened the state of Maryland’s cultural and economic ties with South Korea by renewing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the state and Jeollanam-do Province, South Korea. Governor Larry Hogan signed the MOU, along with the governor of Jeollanam-do Province, Nak-yon Lee, at the Maryland State House.
The MOU fosters economic and cultural development for both Maryland and Jeollanam-do, as the two parties agree to continue working together to maximize business opportunities, advance enterprises, create jobs, and generate new economic opportunities in both regions. Governor Hogan traveled to South Korea last May as part of a 12-day trade mission to Korea, China, and Japan.
