Baltimore FOP Review Finds BPD Riot Response Was "Inadequate"

The Baltimore City Fraternal Order Of Police Lodge #3 After Action review has found that the Baltimore Police Department's response was inadequate due to lack of leadership, equipment, and training of officers.

"Decisions implemented by top commanders of the Baltimore Police department left officers in harm's way. Equally as important, the lack of preparation put the very citizens that we're sworn to protect in harm's way as well," President Gene Ryan states.

The investigation found that the Baltimore City Police Department was not prepared for the riots and is not prepared if it happens again.

Considering the mayor told them to 'stand down' and 'give the thugs space to loot and riot', I would have expected this to have been washed over to protect them......not used to throw them under the bus!

Baltimorons - they got what they elected - it'll be another Detroit soon!

The Mayor said she was disappointed in the FOP findings. Well la de dah!!! Ms. Mayor you are the one to tell the higher ups in the police department to back down and let them loot and burn and then you go and throw your Commissioner under the bus for following your orders. How despicable. You should be the one fired.

august isn't here yet and the crime stats have not reached their summer peak. She better get something put together soon or many more people will die while she is figuring out her next move.
