There is so much truth to this.. it's amazing how many people really don't understand. I was in the Air Force and had to load fallen friends on the planes to bring them back to the homeland they will never feel below their feet again and some people really think it's a day to have a BBQ and drink some beer. It's just sad....
And never will I buy from any store or vendor, large or small, that advertises a Memorial Day sale.
This day is not and should not be a commercial opportunity. It's a day of remembrance, reflection and thanks, and in my book, sacrosanct.
