The Delaware Attorney General's Office has indicted a Dover police office on assault charges after he was caught on camera kicking a suspect in the face.

We should warn you the video might be disturbing to some viewers.

A dash camera from another patrol car captured Officer Thomas Webster approaching Latif Dickerson following a fight back in August of 2013.

Ok Imclain.... NOW it's a good time to spew your venom. This officer should definitely not get away with this. I try to give all police officers the same benefit of the doubt I would give anyone else....but this I cannot defend.

Are police departments actively recruiting sadists? Is there some sort of code in employment ads that lets the violence-prone know they're welcome?

Cops ARE the thugs.

11:18....observations of facts and critique of "two sets of laws" do not constitute "venom", except perhaps by those who get bitten and don't like it.
At least I use my name......
As for that video, that was felony assault. If not for that video, it would be "resisting arrest" and "assaulting a police officer".

Unfortunately, I think this happens more often than most people are aware.

Do cops have an exceptionally hard job, absolutely. Do they also take advantage of their authority and position, absolutely. Do they break laws of the average citizen will have to answer for, absolutely.

The police are only human and their workforce. In any workforce you have good and bad employees. Just because your cop doesn't exempt you from this rule.

The police work for us the public. To protect and to serve. I think it is high time to have a serious conversation about all police wearing cameras and their vehicles being equipped with cameras and sound recording Devices, not only to protect them but to protect us and to incentivize them to act with in law. Devices, not only to protect them but to protect us and to incentivize them to act with in law.

Also, as a bone of contention, I think that any citizen having recorded evidence of an officer speeding, should exonerate any person who has ever been busted by said cop for ANY traffic violation ever, of any kind, sort of a get out of jail free card . This would also incentivize the officer to follow the freaking speed limit. I can't tell you how irritated it makes me to watch officers break the law, then have the audacity to hold citizens who pay their wage to that same law .

Cops breaking traffic laws happen on a daily basis. I can't remember the last time I saw a cop actually following the posted speed limit. Seriously I cannot remember one time.

If cops want to start harboring some good relations with the public, that might be a good place to start. Start actually following the speed limit.
