CRIMES PERPETRATED AGAINST YOUR CHILDREN

Phyllis Schlafly praises new book about elites' intentional manipulation of education

Parents are up in arms against the new attempt to federalize what schools teach called Common Core, but the even more basic “crimes of the educators” are described in the new book by Samuel Blumenfeld under that title. If you want your children to be smart and successful, rather than join the millions who graduate from high school unable to read their own diploma, or go into debt taking remedial courses in college, you need Blumenfeld’s book.

If your child is not a good reader, chances are he is not stupid or afflicted with some brain disability. It’s much more likely that your child was never properly taught how to read.

The failure to teach schoolchildren how to read in the first grade means that they fall further behind with each passing year and soon become bored and resentful of school. By the time they get to the fourth grade, American students are scoring below children of many other nations.

Blumenfeld’s book details the process by which this happened – and it wasn’t any accident. It was planned that way by the socialists who believe that the way to undermine the U.S. capitalist system is to get rid of high literacy and independent intelligence so that the younger generation will accept Big Brother in the driver’s seat of our economy.

Blumenfeld traces the evolution of this system from an 1898 article called “The Primary-Education Fetich” by the father of so-called progressive education, John Dewey. In that article, Dewey wrote: “The plea for the predominance of learning to read in early school life … seems to me a perversion.”

hmmmm....

I will simply say this - it is a parent's responsibility to educate their child...

...my advice is simple to parents/caregivers of young children...the formative portions of the human brain grow the most between that ages of approximately 2-6 years old...prior to 'school' age...knowing this scientific fact, a responsible parent/caregiver will take upon them the task of instilling the most formative skill set by inducing reading at an early age, and it is really not that hard.

Forget IPads and all of the technological gooblygook (ABC mouse, et. al.)- if your children can read prior to kindergarten, they will have a very formidable set of skills to counter almost every eventuality in life. This will allow for free thinking skill sets and deductive and inductive thought and reasoning. Varied discourse can be entertained from now until the end of time, but the truth is that PARENTS are responsible for the learning of their children. DO NOT expect that the local school system will be able to teach children with absolutely no formative skill sets from home to be successful in the current state of educational 'readiness' (Common Core/State/National) testing- While there are success stories of those who did succeed in school due to a myriad of issues, these are statistically few and far between and the proven fact that DISPITE all of the factors leveraged against them, they were all very capable readers prior to school. Rather, see to learning needs to YOUR children. There is no precursor beyond sitting with them and reading to them while they are young, and as they grow closer to school age prompt them to read to you. Once they are of school age, have them continue to read to you and prompt them for discussion points germane to their age and understanding. This requires the parent to NOT be a college, or even high school graduate. Simply take the time to read with them and build the foundation for learning. It only takes 20-30 minutes a day and requires nothing more than the free books at the local library. Take your child/children to get a library card and read to them - it is free, and will support them for their entire lives so that they may not flounder or be dependent on the local school systems or the government.

Respectfully,

Paladin
