What a load of garbage!
A Georgia sanitation worker has been sentenced to 30 days in jail for picking up trash too early in the morning.
The city of Sandy Springs says that Kevin McGill, 48, violated a city ordinance that limits trash pickup between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., a rule intended to keep workers from waking residents in the wealthy Atlanta suburb.
McGill, a family man who had only been on the job for three months, was cited for picking up trash just after 5 a.m. one morning.
McGill didn't have an attorney with him at the sentencing and was given the maximum punishment: 30 days in jail.

Palmer Gillis should be in jail as well as all the employee's working contruction on Saturday mornings.
How ridiculous and petty - Do that want their damn trash picked up or not - and if it's too early for them - let them deal with it and take it to dispose of themselves.

That's what they pay the trash companies for. There are time limits to do certain things, and if you're outside of those limits you can be charged with disturbing the peace.
It's not that hard of a concept.
Rich people - got to love them.

I dont know about jail, but hefty fines and stop work orders should definitely be on the table for violating the start/stop times of 7am and 6pm. Longer days means longer hours for these guys....for now. If youre reading this Mr Gillis, 6pm means 6pm.
FYI-They will now be allowed to work on Sundays too. YAY !!!
Mr. Gilli's! I applaud you. You keep your guys working as much as possible. Your projects are completed in the most timely manner as possible. You employ many locals do lots for our community. Your only down side was the past council. Keep on making money. Not just for you but your employees and our revenues!
You can;t fix stupid!!!
