With decision on 2016 White House run coming, Jeb Bush resigns board memberships

WASHINGTON (AP) - Jeb Bush has resigned all of his board memberships - both nonprofit and business - in a move that helps clear a path toward a 2016 presidential campaign.

The former Florida governor stepped down from his remaining board memberships on Wednesday, the last day of the year, an aide said Wednesday night. It's a continuation of a process that began earlier in the month when Bush announced plans to actively explore a White House bid.

Spokesman Kristy Campbell called Bush's review of his business interests "a natural next step as he turns his focus to gauging whether there is support for a potential candidacy."

Would this guy just go away ????

I liked G.W. Bush but we need some new ideas and this guy supports common Core.

Funny part is the media has him listed as a top contender but I have yet to hear of anyone who wants him to run. It's kinda like what they did with Romney. Most conservatives did not want him but the media had constantly placed him as first.

I think a safe bet is that if the media is showing someone as the front runner on the GOP side then to stay away from that person.

So, does he have an actual job now with any income? Or is he independently wealthy from family money?

Jeb Bush can do whatever he wants but not to include my vote. He was awful as the Governor of Florida and old dogs DON'T learn new tricks very easy.
His candidacy IS NOT for GOOD government but an ego trip so he can say ALL of the Bushes' were President. What a bull%^&&* forte for a man running for office as troubled as times are now. Vote for ANYONE who is politcally 'unknown' and give them a chance to show their range of imagination as to the guideance of these United States.

Once again the RNC is going to ruin a great opportunity by choosing a candidate for us.
DON'T WANT JEB
DON'T WAND MIT
Put either one of them in and I'll stay home on election day...again!

the amount of money someone has should never be considered for anything. the only people who think this way are jealous and don't really work for a living. people who think they are entitled to something, anything.

shame on you for even mentioning money.

No way on Jeb or Mitt. Why can't the RNC support a Gary Johnson?

Because, Gary would hold the RNC accountable to their own standards, and that's NOT in the plan!
