Thank you to whoever it was that reported these out of state visitors (SU students) who stole the signs. Is this also the Druid Hill rental property that's the site of its residents causing so much trouble over there? Or is that yet another one?
I see signs here from the city, the county and the state. The handicapped parking sign looks to be one from a business. I don't know where O'Neil Road is. Looks to me like about $10,000 in fines.
Looks like there's more to the story than the signs. Turns out that this IS one of the houses on Druid Hill that's been a pain for the neighbors, the neighborhood and the city. Eight unrelated people were found living in the house, which was approved by special exception for four people in 2009. Fourteen complaints against this property for drugs, loud parties, etc. have been made since November 2012. I'll be looking forward to seeing the names and home addresses of the 7 out of 8 who have been cited by SPD.
And the landlord didn't know that eight people were living there? Was he collecting rent from all of them? Most of these landlords are getting at least $500 per month per student. A couple of four bedroom houses on my street are getting $675 per month PER PERSON plus utilities. Nine months of rental (if no renters are there in the summer) comes to $24,000 in annual income for each house.
For all you University student haters, better be careful and stop trying to kill the goose that lays Salisbury's golden egg. That school and its students brings more money into Salisbury that practically all the other businesses combined. A few bad apples (and their landlords) should not reflect on all the good that the college community brings to Salisbury.

All that stolen stuff and only one cop car. Or are the other twenty down the street.
No wonder crime is up in Salisbury dealing with this crap.
Your tax dollars went into making those signs and more went into making them again. They are recovering Salisbury property. That's a bad thing?

But alas, they can't take out the drug dealer behind me, but focus in on sign stealers.
