GoDaddy Pulls 2015 Super Bowl Ad After Slew Of Negative Feedback From Animal Advocates

The recently released GoDaddy 2015 Super Bowl ad generated a whole lot of outrage from animal advocates and was quickly retracted Tuesday.

The ad, called "Journey Home," features a golden retriever puppy named Buddy who bounces out of the back of a truck before traveling through a series of harrowing environments to get to a bright red barn.

"Buddy! I'm so glad you made it home!" a curly-haired blonde exclaims. "Because I just sold you on this website I made with GoDaddy."

The new GoDaddy commercial absolutely makes me sick to watch. I know they are poking fun at Budweiser, but this commercial crosses a line to me. When thousands of dogs die each day in shelters I feel it is very irresponsible of them to promote selling puppies online to God know who. They are in essence promoting back yard breeders and puppy mills.

I don't believe their promotion was for Puppy Mills, Inc.
Get a sense of humor.

Why are they poking fun at Budweiser?

Because this is America.

Budweiser's big commercial last year involved the sale of a puppy and it escaping to stay with the horses. The last few years, they've played on the puppy cuteness, so Go daddy just made a jab at them. No big deal to me. Not all breeder's that have websites and accept sales on the internet are puppy mills, so I don't understand the uproar. Puppy mills are more of a problem supplying the chain pet stores.

I don't think a lot of people understand the "fun" they are poking at Budweiser. All they see is how this puppy is handled / treated badly - and I think SOME people will see this commercial (not understanding all the politics behind it ) and actually think it is OK to put an animal in the back of a pick up and ride around! Really, we're dealing with the minds of millions who have the mentality bordering 'idiot' !

Anon 10:07 I'm not a liberal. I've voted republican or libertarian in every election. Just don't find the humor in this commercial and the only leather bra I've ever handled is the one I was taking of your girl :-)
