PRMC Dedicates New Mother-Baby Unit in Memory of Delmarva Native Madeline Perdue

Members of the Arthur W. Perdue Foundation helped Peninsula Regional Medical Center to dedicate its new Mother-Baby Unit on Friday, November 28. Built with the help of a $500,000 grant from the Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, the new unit provides large, modern, private rooms with more space for mothers, babies and families.

The unit was dedicated in the name of Delmarva native Madeline Perdue, who passed away in 2011, and was the mother of Perdue Farms Chairman Jim Perdue. As they helped cut the ribbon on the new unit, Jim Perdue and his sisters Anne Oliviero and Sandra Spedden were presented with a miniature version of the dedication sign bearing Madeline’s name. All three of Madeline Perdue’s children were born at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.

Nice place to put some money before the end of the year. Still wouldn't voluntarily go to that hospital.

Yup - they'll make a donation instead of rehiring some of the good people that they laid off!

Any of the rehab people will tell you that you need to go somewhere else to have invasive surgery done. They see the results...they know.

I was thinking something along the lines of it being dedicated and named in honor and memory of the tax payers who have and currently subsidize their employees with some form of welfare or another. So so many of their employees are on food stamps, rental assistance, kids free lunch programs....the list included every single kind of welfare entitlement there is.
The poor employees are also huge beneficiaries of the non profits that give away toys to the children, clothes, school supplies, etc.
They've sucked the life out of this area because so many of their employees depend on tax payers to survive.
