PARENTS OUTRAGED AS NEW CURFEW LAW SWEEPS BALTIMORE
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has managed to set the toughest curfew laws in America, cracking down on unruly teens who like to stay out past 9 pm.
In total police state fashion, kids under 14-years of age will need to be inside their homes no later than 9pm, while kids 14 to 16-years of age can indulge in outdoor activities for an hour later and even two during the summer months when school is not in session.
Although the mayor is proud of the new law, expected to rake in record revenue for the city once fully enforced, parents seem to have a different point of view and in some cases are downright angry. In fact, some have even heard rumors of youth camps/jails. But rest assured, the loving mayor dispelled the hearsay.

GOOD for the Mayor, Get the problems off the street in the evening and people can go out of their homes and not be a prisoner of the homes.
I support the "Police State" in Baltimore city as imposed by Big Sexy (Mayor Blake). If it wasn't out of control dangerous it wouldn't be necessary.

Awesome all for it. Need it in Smallsbury but the liberal Liarton rather blame it on the police or the school system being hard on these pooooooor families.
Funny Ireton states crime is dowm. Mike Lewis states crime is down. Yet the State's Attorney keeps spending money. Matt's budget has increased nearly 140% since he has taken office. Joe can you shed light on this. No this does not include the 4.2 million dollar office purchased by the county for Matt's crew. I hear he also just requested another position. Really Matt !!!!! You might want to step down off of the Ivory Tower. Funny the Deputy State's Attorneys can go out on crime scenes like they are C.S.I. but you can find them the next morning for bond reviews lol

11:54 nailed it. They won't pay. The fine owed will be deemed uncollectable.
If people knew how many fines given within the MD criminal justice system are deemed uncollectable by probation and go unpaid they would do a back flip.
Not only are fines not being collected but probation requirements aren't being followed and it's terminated unsatisfactorily. These people know if they are "ordered" to submit to monthly drug testing and they don't do it, nothing happens. Probation ends anyway.
Take their welfare benefits and see how things change
The article anticipates they'll generate a lot of revenue from the fines...so they're anticipating a lot of non-compliance.
Destined not to succeed on many levels.
