Have You Seen "The Butler" Yet?

As I grow older and have grown children, enjoying the pleasure of watching a movie that actually has a PLOT, a POINT, a PURPOSE, this is one movie I highly recommend.

I am not, (nor ever have been) one to go to a Movie Theater. This weekend I took the time to watch this movie at home and for the first time in many years I truly felt like for once I did not waste my time.

How about you?

Because they chose to select Jane Fonda to play Nancy Reagan we refuse to watch this movie.

12:53 I, being a Vet feel the same way. I refuse to even rent it.

The butler who the movie was about had said that they took creative license in portaying him. He said the accuracy portrayed in some instances were incorrect, and he did not agree with a lot of the content of the movie.

Nancy Reagan said she was honored that Fonda played her.

Haven't seen in, but I know Forest Whitaker is amazing in anything he has a role in.

It's just another Hate Whitey movie. Won't waste my money on it. Like Dejango. Stirs more racial hatred and separates us as Americans.

Jane Fonda / Nancy Reagan appears for probably less than 5 minutes. As for the last Hate Whitey movie comment, you should go see it. You'll enjoy reliving the good old days.

LOL 3:01, you are hilarious. I assume by your comment ("wont waste money..") that you haven't seen it, therefore like a child, you are saying you don't like something that you have no knowledge about. Perhaps had you seen both movies you would have realize both films actually run counter to the bs you just spouted. A few examples:

#1 The Butler overtly highlighted the participation of whites in the freedom riders and showed how young whites were being beaten right alongside blacks during the civil rights movement.

#2 You missed in "Dejango" (lol) where it was a white man that helped save the day! You got to be pretty slow to have missed that, seeming how the actor went on to win an Oscar

#3 Lets not forget that one of the prime villains in "Dejango" was a black man

"Stirs racial hatred". LOL. Yeah, lets not show the fairly recent history of the US. We all just came over here and immediately sang kumbaya.
