Group Backed By Labor Unions Airs TV Ad Highlighting Twin Gansler Controversies

An independent expenditure group in Maryland funded largely by labor unions launched a television ad Wednesday claiming that Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler is “unfit to be governor” because of a pair of controversies that dogged his campaign last fall.

The 30-second spot by “One State, One Future” features television news coverage of stories about Gansler ordering troopers assigned to drive him to speed and run red lights and his appearance at a teen beach party where there was apparent underage drinking.

Those stories broke last fall in The Washington Post and the Baltimore Sun just as Gansler was launching his bid for the Democratic nomination for governor.

Help save Maryland -- vote for Charles Lollar!

He's unfit to be elected to any position simply because he is a flaming liberal. We need to get rid of these worthless people and elect some good conservatives for a change, Maryland needs help, not more tax and spend.

Haven`t you guys heard of executive privilege? Along with the office comes the use of public funds and personnel and all the other perks.
Gansler just had a lapse of memory like OweBama does whenever he screws up. You democrats work hard to cover it up like the rest of your brethren and I`m sure he`ll be the Governor and then he can run ALL the red lights and have all the PARTIES he wants and you guys can be LOYAL and PAY for them. I know some people that are very happy with the union. I am a Republican and joined it myself. Getting benefits and pay raise no one was willing to give except to those at the top. Funny all us bottom feeders got a voice all of a sudden. So suck it. All u anti union cry babies must own a business that will not fairly compensate the workers. Tough roll mud hole.
