I had gay members in my troop. It was kind of like the military policy of "don't ask, don't tell". I'm mixed on the idea, we have to be tolerant of other lifestyles, but at the same time, scouts helped me become the man I am today. And, there is already push from the LBGT community to have openly gay scout leaders, it's becoming a bit of a slippery slope.
I guess I will be pulling my son out of the Boy Scouts.
Can't at least one organization not give in to the pc police?

Not so. God gives us free choice. You can live your life according to him or stray and go your own way. It is your choice in who you will love, whether you will kill someone, give to the needy and so forth. It is your choice. i agree with 2:59. these are kids, and they should be around normalcies(sp) as they are growing. if they decide on their own that they are gay later, so be it. but dont push it on the kids that are not. there are too many organizations as is pushing the lifestyle in our faces. i hate to see the BSA fail, but if they fail because of this policy, then maybe some eyes will be open.

Gay scout leaders should not be allowed. The point is a membership that protect young boys, teaches them morals and skills.
