All over America, formerly prosperous communities are being transformed into crime-infested wastelands of poverty and despair. Of course the most famous example of this is Detroit. At one time, Detroit was the greatest manufacturing city that the world had ever seen and it had the highest per capita income in the entire country. But now it has become a rotting, decaying hellhole that the rest of the planet laughs at. And of course Detroit is far from alone. There are hundreds of other U.S. cities that are suffering a similar fate. In this article, the focus is going to be on Camden, New Jersey, but the truth is that there are lots of other "Detroits" and "Camdens" all over the nation. Jobs and businesses are leaving our cities at a staggering rate, and what is being left behind is poverty, crime and extreme desperation.

That's a bit confusing, on those maps Joe published yesterday, it showed NJ as one of the higher income state in the union.
Guess we'll have to ask Christy what's up with Camden.
They need to ad Salisbury, MD. To this list, we have lost so many businesses and residents, this city is a city of renters, and empty buildings!
Camden is a ghetto just across the river from Philadelphia. It is south jersey which has areas of blight and hillbillies just like the eastern shore. North jersey is where the money is.
Who imagines that, somehow, these places will miraculously return to middle class glory? Or that anyone will be safe as more and more of these places decay? OR, that the government can protect you from the hungry and desperate people who will eventually go to places where there IS food and shelter (YOUR house)? Look up "entropy".
Some of you people better start paying attention.
Face the facts. The majority of the population in those cities is black. People who are paid to do nothing won't work. Why should they. Manufacturers were union and Democrats have always supported unions to get their votes. Unions high demand on salaries and the pressure Democrats put on the manufacturers sent businesses elsewhere.
Camden has been like this for twenty years!!! Nothing new that's for sure. The companies left or closed, people left never to return, crime took over and now it just continues to slide.... Take notes eastern shore it could be you in time.
Lock and Load... Coming to a town near you..
Even the Hospital here is going down..
Laying off good workers and hiring perverts.
