Confusion And Anger At The Morris Mill Situation

So many of us in the area, and surrounding areas, feel we are being targeted to gain revenues for the Fruitland Water project. We in the Shady BROOK, Rayfield and Goose Creek development.. We are being told, “ if this project for Public water is petitioned, and the petition wins, we “ The county will not provide permits for the well to be replaced. Now is that legal? That is a threat. We as home owners are not receiving facts into its entirety. They are not certain about the cost associated, they have no idea. They are forcing us to pay 40.00 per month for an infrastructure loan for well over 4 years. We are trying to find out where the tower will be located ,and why the information is so secretive. Also, nothing guaranteed in the pricing.

Ricky are you listening to these people? Obviously not. So why don't you tell them what is going on?

At the meeting we were told that The county will not allow well permits for new lots, existing houses can get a new well permit but it will be a special double lined well that will cost upwards of $20,000. They are still working on location for the tower but they will show the options at the moment if you go to the Government building and speak with them.

The county held an open meeting and answered all questions that were asked

I've done some research and found out that this chemical has been an on going issue with several business locations in Salisbury for years. My conversation with a previous waste water treatment employee stated that Dresser Wayne and The old Bacon place on Eastern Shore drive were two of the biggest contributors. These properties are now both owned by the State of MD thru Salisbury University. Suddenly there's millions $$$ of grant money's thru the state to correct this problem....well of course there is! They own the problem and want the general public to pay for the previous owners mistakes. This is total BS....the chemical is very dangerous and who knows how much damage has already been done. Why can't the residences in the effective sub-divisions file a class action suit against the City and State? Those property values have forever been compromised?

Gary, First, one would have to show where the city was negligent in this unfortunate situation. They are trying to fix the problem for the homeowners, so I see where that would be a problem.

I am also under the understanding the Health Dept. along with MDE could not identify the source of the contamination. So, trying to play the blame game doesn't work either.

5:42 you've missed most of the point I was striving at.....MDE, Health Department, and The City of Fruitland All are part of the Gov't and I don't believe them. Do some research on the chemical and you'll see that this is very closely monitored due to its health hazards.......

Dig deep enough and you will find the source. Of course they are lying and hiding it from you.
