Another one today I witnessed at Gordy's at 50/Nanticoke Rd. Somebody choked on a sandwich or something. 2 inside tending to the victim, fire engine crew and 2 SPD units outside shakin' hands and slappin' fives for a half hour.

What a wast of resources there!

Wow! Look at all them fires. NOT!!

The fire call on Dover Street was not a house fire. Even if it was it still doesn't justify 60 paid firemen.

There has never been 60 paid "firefighters" on any given shift. That number is broken up into 4 different 24hr shifts. Oh and there are no paid personnel at SFD who are only firefighters, they are all either firefighter/EMTs or firefighter/paramedics. Not to mention that they are all paid 10% under the national average yet the cost of living in Salisbury is 120% the national average.
