Carnival Pulling Ship From Baltimore

The Port of Baltimore is losing some of its cruise business.

Carnival Cruise Lines announced today that the Carnival Pride will begin sailing from Tampa, Florida starting in December, 2014.

In an email to WBAL News, company spokesman Vince Gulliksen said that the cruise line, "routinely evaluates our itineraries and make adjustments as needed based on guest preference and overall financial performance of different itineraries. As a result, Carnival has decided not to deploy the Carnival Pride from Baltimore for the period November 2014 through April 2015. We have a great partnership with the Port of Baltimore and know many of our guests enjoy cruising from there. We will evaluate all viable options to return to Baltimore in the future."

The announcement leaves the Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas as the only cruise sip to sail out of Baltimore after November, 2014.

I wonder what costs more; the cruise itself, or the parking fee for your car when you get back?

If you have to wonder, maybe a cruise isn't for you.

Personally I could never see the publics fascination with taking cruises. I've never wanted to go on one and then a few years ago some friends went and they said after 2 days they were ready to jump overboard out of boredom.

Then everyone who goes on one and enjoys it, all they can talk about is the food. It's kinds nuts when the highlight of a trip is the food.
