Statement From CE Pollitt Re: ACLU

Official statement from Wicomico County Executive Rick Pollitt regarding news of ACLU’s request to the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ):

Obviously, I am deeply concerned that the ACLU is asking the Justice department to sue Wicomico County for discrimination in our elective process. Equal representation in government and in the exercise of the power of the vote cannot and should not be denied to any members of our community. Beyond that, I’m reluctant to make further comment at this time, given that possible legal action is pending.

Imagine that, a Democrat presiding over voter irregularities and discrimination! Wendy Rosen ring a bell?

All the while it is the Democrats who fight against voter IDs.

I think that action by the ACLU such as this only moves to create division. I believe that we have a fair electoral process. It is unfortunate that our country seems to be held hostage by a group that profit and exists, simply by invoking hostility over not just the issue of color, but over common sense things. They are part of the reason that this country has become so politically correct that we aren't allowed to discuss the real problems, meaning, we will never find the real solutions.

Wicomico County-
Your going to be the example for this nation on what not to do.

Can it be because Wicomico is the only county in the state that republicans actually outnumber democrats so something must be wrong here?

Is anyone else sick of the NAACP and the ACLU?

You are quite wrong. In 2012, Romney-Ryan received only 51.5% of the vote in Wicomico County. That's out of 42,259 votes. There are a lot more democrats here than you think.
