A new $1 million dollar program led by Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw aimed at “violence prevention” is encouraging Floridians to report their neighbors for making hateful comments about the government, a chilling reminder of how dissent is being characterized as an extremist threat.Reason documented the sheriff’s recent comments, which come from the Palm Beach Post:
“We want people to call us if the guy down the street says he hates the government, hates the mayor and he’s gonna shoot him,” Bradshaw said. “What does it hurt to have somebody knock on a door and ask, ‘Hey, is everything OK?’ ”

Problem is they knock the door in at the same time they're knocking on it...
A government did this to its citizens in the 1930's with global consequences....
Hitler is on his way back. For all my friends that believe that Obama is truly not qualified to be President and thinks he has no idea what he's doing and that Obamacare will be a total failure, and he is a flat out liar, there are not enough cops for that job.
The reason, Ric Bradshaw, is people don't really care for cops showing up and asking questions when they've nothing but exercise their 1st Amendment rights to free speech. Add to that you've just violated their 4th Amendment right against unreasonable searches.., yes you are searching Ric Bradshaw, after all, a police officer merely being on the property and looking, is conducting a search. This is nothing more then HSA gone heinously wrong.
Thought police, backed up by the REAL police. WHERE is that goof cop who keeps saying (Giovvanni, I think?) that too many cops would NEVER support this kind of thing? Looks like to me they can't wait to support it. Start shooting back.
do the younger readers of this blog know about hitler and other evil dictators throughout history. this is exactly what they did. even the children were brainwashed to "report" their own parents and family members.

10:32, alot of young people, at least in my age group, know this. The problem is the older crowd still screaming "Protect the Children".
People need to really think about all these laws being passed for "your" safety. Everything is for your safety and tons of government agencies exist for your safety and the betterment of society . To make matters worst, it has really hit a psychological peak, when people start categorizing other people as scum. Just look at how people are bashing gays and drug addicts. It may be a flaw in your eyes, but these are still people, and the comments on this site about other people are at times alarming. Some people truly believe if you end up residing in the county jail for whatever charge, you deserve to just rot away and die, because your in jail: America has the biggest prison population in the world and it grows by the day!
Alot of things that are happening in this country are merely distractions to get your mind off the fact that the country is going to hell. The greatest tactic in history is to divide and conquer. If you keep trying to keep shades on, you can distort a person's perception of the real world and make everything rosy. The problem is sooner or later, the big bad wolf will come out and few willrecognize it, and when the sh** really hits the fan, it's too late.
