Prosecution To Seek Death Penalty Against Theater Shooting Suspect James Holmes

CENTENNIAL - After a week of legal twists and turns, James Holmes could face execution if convicted in the Aurora theater attack that killed 12 people. The prosecution announced on Monday they plan to seek the death penalty.

"In this case, for James Egan Holmes, justice is death," District Attorney George Brauchler said, adding that his office had spoken with victims and their families.

Holmes showed no visible reaction to the announcement, but his parents clasped hands and then embraced.

They should just take him out back and shoot him. Done deal, case over, save much taxpayers money. He is low rent slime and a coward!

What's the issue?
He admitted it, witness proved it.
Off with his head already.
He should have been euthanized a week after the trial which should have been held the next day.
Criminal murderer types aren't afraid of life in prison.
In cases such as this when there is overwhelming evidence and multiple eyewitnesses, just do it.
Stop the madness of investigation, study, detailed dissection of the act and prioritize how the money should be spent.
It is ludicrous to ask tax payers to pay to incarcerate a proven murderer for life for the sake of not killing someone. Let the punishment fit the crime with swift justice.

The pride of man will bring down this country. This animal has admitted to killing and has agreed to be put away for the rest of his life. But people are willing to spend millions in court proceedings for their blood thirst. Two wrongs don't make a right.
