Must be nice. My purse cost me $20 and I don't have a wallet. Can I get food stamps too?

I personally witnessed at the Dollar General in the Twilley Center a girl using (2) Independence cards and using them to pay $91.46 for merchandise. I saw her open her wallet it was full of cash. When she left - I saw her loading up the merchandise in a late model Black Mercedes Benz.

This wasn't about the eastern shore.

My first clue was the headline of the column. It said 'fast news'. We all know the newspaper around here is anything but fast or news.

Another clue was the link above said column. It showed 'thebrunswicknews.com'.

Only brunswick I know around here is a pool table maybe.

Now that you have been schooled, YOU are free to leave the eastern shore.

disgusting; guess if one is on food stamps and doesnt have to buy food, one can afford expensive purses and wallets and extra cash. Most of us have none left after buying our food with our hard earned money!!!

This has to be the funniest thing I have read all day! Hilarious! As a former DSS worker, I had plenty of clients come in with purses that cost way more than mine and I worked 5 days a week.
