I, along with many others, complained bitterly a bunch of years back about Walmart sticking taxpayers with their employees' health care costs -- and then they mended their ways. Well, their ways have been unmended, thanks to Obamacare.
From the HuffPo's Alice Hines (and the who couldn't have predicted that files), Walmart's new health care policy shifts the burden to Medicaid:
Labor and health care experts portrayed Walmart's decision to exclude workers from its medical plans as an attempt to limit costs while taking advantage of the national health care reform known as Obamacare. Among the key features of Obamacare is an expansion of Medicaid, the taxpayer-financed health insurance program for poor people. Many of the Walmart workers who might be dropped from the company's health care plans earn so little that they would qualify for the expanded Medicaid program, these experts said.
"Walmart is effectively shifting the costs of paying for its employees onto the federal government with this new plan, which is one of the problems with the way the law is structured," said Ken Jacobs, chairman of the Labor Research Center at the University of California, Berkeley.More

Obamacare isn't causing this, Walmart has played these games often in the past and present. They now have an excuse albeit lame to be open about it.
You cannot blame Walmart for this. You would have to blind and dumber than a box of rocks not to see this coming. Wait until most of the lower wage workers to lost their job or be forced to part time. If you want to assign blame, blame the mindless sheep that unfortunately voted for obozo based on an idea he will give you something or for his skin color. You reap what you sow. Yeah, you might get an obozo phone or a little cash in your pocket but you will never ever get ahead of the game.
We should'nt call it Obamacare, as it was passed into law by the idiots in the House and the Senate. But 2:22 yes this is causing this. Just watch the fall out as this rolls on. Welcome to poverty America.
You go dogg. For all those who didn't know - Walmart is a business, and businesses are there to make money. Stay with me now, I don't want to lose anybody. The government wages war on businesses forcing them to take advantage of every available loophole. You will see many jobs lost or made part time because of Obama folly (care).
