Ocean City, MGH Renew Ad Deal Through Next Summer

The Ocean City Council renewed its advertising contract with Owings Mills marketing firm MGH this week — reversing a previous decision in August to search for other candidates.
MGH will help the resort town work to continue to lure tourists at least through next summer with a contract worth nearly $5 million annually.

I'm pleased to see Mytek coming out of retirement as well as Dare. This place is a total zoo with nobody seemingly in charge. Transportation is utter chaos.

I'm pleased to see Joe Hall has refiled. Not sure about Jim Hall but if he does, they both will get my votes.
Ocean City in the past 30 years has lost it's charm. Too many cement highrises in an attempt to drawl in "high end" tourists that are now sitting vacant. Everything centers around bars and drinking alcohol in OC anymore. The Dispatch interview with Joe Hall was on the mark.
Too much tax payers money being spent before frivously-Vote Hall and Hall in order to keep the fiscally responsible majority.

I'm considering voting for the man Nick who has filed for mayor. He is a visionary who saw the need for a specialized business downtown for the vast number of foreign students who come to OC to work. He invested in an old building and did wonders with it as well as the business. OC needs leaders who have put their money where their mouths are.
As far as the cement high rise city OC has become that's because alot of realtors are in the government and have ties and that's why they were all shoved down the residents throats. The place has become a sight for sore eyes anymore and not the quaint place it once was. The shortsightedness and the fact that some in the government and their families profitted is what has caused the mess OC is in.

Never understand why they selected a skinny, average looking dweeby dude with zero tan to play Rodney.

5 million dollars to allow for even higher summer costs to the visitors! Can you understand $325 per night at the holiday inn room, when you can get a night at the ritz in Florida for the same rate? Smart tourists are going to the outer banks, to southern del beaches, and oc is become a negative from the locals greed! Pretty soon, only omalley can afford to go oc!

For whatever reason they thought years ago to try and attact the upper echelon and the moneyed people by building what they allowed. The problem is the truly wealthy people prefer the feeling of a village or hamlet type of resort such as the Hamptons and Cape Cod and really wealthy people are cheapskates by nature anyway. The Hamptons and Cape Cod accomidations are less than Ocean City too 11:48. Ocean City tried to follow along the lines of South Beach and all you have there now is rap and hip hop artists and NBA players if you know what I mean. No one with real money even goes to South Beach anymore.
