CHARLOTTE, N.C. - This week, it's the Democrats' turn to make their case to
voters, but while the delegates travel to the convention, advocates for D.C.
statehood will highlight their own cause celebre.
Shadow Sen. Michael Brown and outgoing Shadow Rep. Mike Panetta
helped secure two billboards in the host city, one of which is little more than a
football field's length from the Time Warner Arena.
The call for statehood will greet thousands of delegates en route to the various
convention sites.

It can't happen. The UNITED STATES is a corporation, and Washington D.C. Is its address. It must remain separate from the United States of America.
How about statehood for the Eastern shore?
The land belongs to Maryland. Give it back and the Governor can tax it.

I like that.

No, it was donated. Ever hear the term indian giver?
If the Eastern Shore was a state unto itself, we certainly would not have this governor taxing and spending his way to being a presidential candidate.
