Black Pastors: Let's Reject Obama!

A group of black pastors is blasting President Obama for his support of homosexual marriage and calling on black pastors across America to stop supporting him.

“By embracing gay marriage, President Obama is leading the country down an immoral path,” said Rev. William Owens, president of the Coalition of African-American Pastors, in a statement. “The black church has always been the conscience of America, and today we are calling on black pastors and black Christians to withhold support from President Obama until he corrects course.

The Coalition of African-American Pastors, or CAAP, has launched a marriage petition at 100000Signatures4Marriage.com. The group describes itself as “a grass-roots movement of African-American Christians who believe in traditional family values such as supporting the role of religion in American public life, protecting the lives of the unborn, and defending the sacred institution of marriage.” It notes that it “is not affiliated with any political party or denomination.”

My question is, do I need to be black to support you and your petition? I'd love to get on board with you, but I'm a White guy.

However 5:35, our constitution requires the separation of church and state- and I thank God for it.

I like a compromise of civil unions- it's not marraige, but affords all of the priveledges that we heteros enjoy.

As an anecdote, gays fit it quite well in my neighborhood, and I find them to be great freinds.

Probably the greatest strength our nation has is her ability to take people of all stripes and assimilate them.

I would humbly suggest that you step into at least the 20th century.

I don't think there is anything humble about you.

However 5:35, our constitution requires the separation of church and state- and I thank God for it.

It reads that congress shall make no law respecting one religion over another. (something to that effect)

This country was founded on the principles of God, no matter how much some would scream otherwise.

When you exclude God from anything, it tends to fail. And we are seeing the effects of that since we have uninvited Him for His guidance, wisdom and advice.

Our greatest strength was our following God and His Son Jesus Christ. When we began rejecting God and Jesus, we no longer received Their blessings and protection.

That is quite evident in the world today and will continue to become more and more obvious until we repent or when Jesus returns.

Not long from now everyone will find that out for themselves.

Pray that you are not in that group that will suffer through the time of tribulation.

When that time comes, the dead will be envied by the living.

Hard to trust a guy who's position on gay marriage went for, against, for. His evolving position is always evolving, depending on what campaign he's running.

These pastors know the deal. Got to demonize someone to keep the cash flowing in.
