The human brain is predisposed to racism because
areas that detect ethnicity and those controlling emotion are tightly
connected, with fear often the overwhelming thought.
The
finding comes from researchers in the US who pulled together results
from 17 brain-imaging studies designed to tease out the brain circuitry
of race, emotion and decision-making.
Writing
in the journal Nature Neuroscience, the team, led by psychologist and
neuroscientist Elizabeth Phelps of New York University, claims the
findings suggest it might be possible to help people manage unconscious
racist behavior.

Awesome, now you have another excuse for being a bigot.
duh. ive said it for years. birds of a feather is very real and very true.
It's a natural survival instinct in all animals.
I have to disagree on this one. Why? when I observe very young children they display no racial behaviors such as offensive remarks or divisive words. This is a learned behavior usually picked up from home and living enviroment. All the years and years of racisim and where has the church's voice been? All the old timers did you ever wondered about that before the 50's and 60's and there after??
A good argument in court when someone has been charged with a hate crime.
