I can not hardly even understand his words.I can tell you that they show alot of Salisburys slum areas and references his freinds as niggers.They can say it but whites can't or it would be a race issue. Shows how well educated this person is looks like he could do something more constructive with his time.Like get a job and not rapping.

I didn't see anything wrong with it. Guess in the beginning he said you have to go around strapped - but honestly it is Salisbury, who wouldn't want to be strapped.
He said shout out to East Side & West Side, doesn't have to be referring to the gangs by that name, but seems he's promoting unity.
Seems he's trying to be positive about Salisbury, something that no one else that lives there is.
I'd say give him a chance, hope he becomes a success. You might not personally like his music style, but he seems pretty good to me, and spent alot of time editing and working on it.

I would really like to know how a video abt unity gets the warning sign. I didnt hear anything foul or derogatory abt this video. And how someone who is running for mayor put this video abt unity up and pretty much label it as if it was something negative. Those young men are chasing their dream and putting a positive message out there, and of course here comes the negativity. Smh. I guess you gotta take the good with the bad. Its not the song itself. its the hip hop song about salisbury. yes the n word was used a few times but i heard nothin horrific. even spoke on wihi. them using the n word we all must realize this is a widely used words in not just black communities but white communities as well. these young men are high school graduates, college attending, working young men with no criminal records.those guys should be happy. free promotion...

The word Nig..r is quite offensive. I am a black women. I absolutely hate the ideal of black men and women being address as nig..r. That word should not be used by our young people or any ethnic group. I'll be frank, take that rapping, strapping, thugging and slumming attitude and keep it right there in S.A.L.I.S.B.U.R.Y Maryland. It will not do in our community. Black America will overcome it's adversary without the likes of you and your friends. I don't plan to live in an environment that is going to be run by a bunch of thug similac slumlord gangsta kids. Look at your own video. Slum neighborhoods is all I see. This is nothing to be proud of.

Whoever thinks this is a negative video is first of all a very ignorant close minded human being. This song was made to show pride for the city they grew up in. It was displayed from the artist point of view in how they grew up not from some pompus suburb silver spoon point of view. These negative comments are the same type of ignorant profiling thoughts that led to the murder of Trayvon Martin. Do ANYTHING while black whether its art, music, video, or even simply walking down the street, has got to stop being shown in a negative light. the musicality in this production was good. the videography was good. but why in the world would anyone think this is about unity? it's a call out to gangs and a warning to salisbury that its gang time here in the Bury.at the end he said "it's time salisbury, you know whats coming." unless i misheard or misunderstood the words. i dont understand why you would post this. for the people who wondered about the foul language warning i guess they did not hear the same F bomb that i heard.

Yes, I agree with 2:47. I didn't view this video as a negative. He was showing and talking about his hometown. He was giving shout outs to the other towns as well. Other than the few "n" words I thought the video was pretty positive.

I agree. I don't even like rap music but I listened to this one.
He's giving props to his hometown and people he grew up with. That's the only message I got from watching the video. Now, I didn't listen very hard to all the lyrics so I can't say there is a call to arms to all the gangs.
This isn't the first time someone has written a song about the eastern shore. "Sand in my shoes" comes to mind. Personally I thought that one sucked but that's just me.
The showing of the 'slums' as some have called it, is probably where he and his friends grew up and hung out.
You would do better to be outraged that we even have 'slums' in Salisbury than someone recording them. People have to live in that area. You don't think they have eyes and can see?
Personally I think he did a good job. His video and song is a whole lot more positive than most of these comments I am reading.

I think the issue is they are exposed to something they don't understand, by people they don't understand, for any reason they can understand.
I don't know these guys from a can of paint. But I did some digging on the name that this was posted under on youtube.
The video's I saw that this person uploaded were not the type that would cause any alarm in my view.
Heck, I even copied two of them and put them on facebook.
Instead of freaking out, people should be encouraging these things. If for no other reason than it keeps them from doing bad things.

This is not my style of music and I don't use the n word but this is the music style of the day for many young people.I thought it was well done and I'm glad you posted it.
First of all, I wanted to say that me and my husband are christian.I looked at this video because of what people were saying. I must be missing something out of this video because I know these young adults and believe me they are far from talking about gangs and really bad language in this video. To me it's just a song talking about the commuity. All of these young adults grew up in a nice neighbor and have good career. People need to stop looking at the colar of a person skin and look at the talent the person have.If this video was by a white person, would someone even said anything. just because it's black young adults got talent, and what only a certain color should have talent.Grow up this is 2012.
My parents and older folks didn't like or understand the music that molded myself growing up. I turned out to be a productive law abiding taxpayer, what's all the fuss about?

The quality of recording is pretty bad also as it's full of distortion.
i checked out some of their other songs/videos. not my kind of music, but they do have talent.
its not great for salisbury to be perceived like a ghetto-land but honestly who are we kidding? salisbury has some serious issues.

I dont even like rap/hip hop but I listened to a few of their other songs and I definitely think that they have talent. They made a song about their hometown and where they came from. Not only did they point out the bad parts about their hometown but they included how much they love their hometown and how much people from the eastern shore supports them. If you ask me, they need to really be recognized. If I owned a label, I would sign them. Very creative!

I've listened to it twice and I never noticed any distortion. I do however, hear a lot of distortion when I read your comment.

Just so this is "out there", I am a 46 year old caucasian female...and this is talent. If people don't have anything positive to say then keep your mouths shut. How is this promoting gang violence???? If anything, this shows that there are young men and woman who have musical talent and want badly to do something with it INSTEAD of being in the streets. Yes, Salisbury, like ANYWHERE ELSE, has it's gangs and drugs but it also has a number of young people who want better than that. Both of these young men were brought up in a stable household and are far from not being educated. What is exactly wrong with the song? Is it because the video is nothing but the " not so rich " areas? Why would these young men make a song/video including areas that they did not grow up in?
