House Votes To Cap Malpractice Damages
While the U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear arguments next week over the constitutionality of the nearly two-year-old health-care reform package, members of Congress have been busy trying to chip away at the legislation.
So, when your child is brain damaged for life, requiring constant medical care, even after you and your wife are long dead, the best you can get is $250,000 because Congress wants to "cap" damage awards? It's good to be king, not so good to be paralyzed....
Imclain-did you take that sob story speech from the John Edwards playbook? Do you have no problem with the trial lawyer getting a 35 or 40% cut of the damages?

Capping damages and tort reform--the real solution to soaring medical costs. But most politicians are lawyers that protect their own--trial lawyers.
