Salisbury Police Department Press Release 2-28-12

On February 27, 2012 at approximately 3:12am, Officers responded to the Royal Farms Store located at 901 Snow Hill Rd for a reported Armed Robbery.

On arrival it was learned that two black males entered into the business at approximately 3:08am.

One black male was brandishing a handgun and the other black male was brandishing with what appears to be a military style assault weapon. Once inside the store, Suspect 1 stated to the clerk, “I want the money! Give me the money!” Suspect 2 was pointing the assault style weapon at the clerk. Both suspects went behind the counter and began to demand the clerk to open the safe.

The clerk was unable to open the safe and was then told to get the money from the register. Suspect 1 grabbed a plastic Royal Farms bag from behind the counter and placed the U.S. Currency from the register inside the bag. Suspect 1 then told the clerk to remain on the floor, face down, behind the counter and not to move. Both suspects fled the area in an unknown direction. No injuries reported.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male, approximately 18-21yoa, approximately 5’07 in hgt, thin build, dark skinned, wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, light blue jeans, dark shoes, unknown colored gloves, and a black cloth covering his face. Suspect was in possession of a handgun.

Suspect #2 is described as a black male, approximately 18-21yoa, approximately 5’10
in hgt, thin build, dark skinned, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, white shoes, unknown colored gloves, and a black cloth covering his face. Suspect was in possession of an assault style weapon.
