You two make me sick. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Good to know what kinds of people we have here on the shore. "A man approaches cop hands not up", what if this was not the perpetrator. From what the video shows the officer makes no moves to ask for ID or to tell the man to stop. I can see from this crappy video 10 feet away the man wasnt wielding a knife in his hands.
Beating? LOL give me a break. An actively resisting subject supposedly armed with a knife. Great job officer, glad the good guy made it out safe.

The question not asked yet? If everything he did was "legit", why was the camera turned off? And there MAY be one out there, but I've NEVER met or known a 66 year old man suffering from dementia who could be subdued with a nightstick or a taser. No need to get all macho. ANYONE can beat up an old man....and "supposedly" armed is ALWAYS a good thing to say before a cop beats an old man up. The 66 year old guy was probably "disturbing the peace", or "hindering a police officer". At least he turned the camera off...
Government employees are so violent and intolerant. Just full of hate and anger it seems. I feel sorry for them, not only here but in the next life when they have to answer for beating up old crazy people. So sad what greed and the government has turned the american people into.
When the time comes, and the inevitability is sooner than not, I predict LEO's like this will become targets for citizens that are sick of this kind of treatment under the guise of law enforcement.
These acts will not be forgotten by the populous. Their crimes will come back to haunt them. You will see their uniforms in the streets as they run and hide from civil justice.
