A new report shows that the share of American adults who are married dropped to a record low in 2009-2010 — to just a smidgen over half of population 18 and older. And the age at which Americans first tie the knot has never been higher, according to analysis of U.S. Census data by Pew Research Center published Wednesday.

Those that are true to marriage - as defined religiously are probably finding that institution 'cheapened' by what the government has allowed (forced) it to become. I don't have an issue with 'non-traditional' couples being afforded the same rights as 'traditional' couples - I am however offended by calling it marriage!
4:33, exactly. Marriage is "holy matrimony" I don't understand why it's a government regulated thing to begin with as its a religious ceremony. Why do athiests get married? I think anyone should have the ability to civilly unite, and that should be what the government does for tax/legal purposes. But marriage? That term should be left to the church.
My wife Linda and I have married 43 years. She is not speaking to me now. You see, as I got older I started taking Cialis for male enhancement. But I was doing it wrong. When she fell asleep, I would get up and get dressed and go see Alice.
5:33 has a point. They also get a boat load back at tax time since they only have to claim one income.
I work 50-60 hours a week to survive, so unless the man that wants to marry me takes all the financial responsibility off of me rather than me support him so he can stay home all day and sleep, play, etc. I will stay single! I am past the age of child bearing and all kids are out of the house at this phase in my life. So, why should I get married then?
