The entire world was at war. No place was safe. This war wasn't being fought by 500,000 soldiers like today.
Millions of men and women volunteered or were drafted, trained to fight, trained to win.
There was no political correctness - you fought and killed, or died, for freedom and your way of life.
This army was supported by the will of the people. Civilians worked long hours for little pay to support the troops.
Civilians bought war bonds, contributed cooking pots for metal, wasted nothing, everything went to the war effort.
The war was a reality every day, not a TV show that you watched on the 6 o'clock news.

What in God's name have we let happen ?
Political correctness (or "re-education") happened,
Lack of God's name happened,
Lack of personal responsibility happened,
Lack of personal integrity and honesty happened,
Lack of respect and loyalty to our country happened,
Lack of being an American happened.
Did all of these things die along with common sense ?!?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I for one am still proud to be an American!

it's very easy to forget how fortunate we are. If I got anything out of todays posts it's to remember this.....The price of freedom is not free, but precious. Freedom comes at a great price...the blood, sweat and tears of our ancestors.
I am proud also , you ask what has happened to the country.

All that because we didn't know any better. We had no idea of the lying and corruption by our Government. But now we do. That's why we do not support the current illegal wars. We know now that we were lied to about the previous wars - all of them. And so we aren't going to take it anymore.
War is profit. It is evil. And it is unnecessary. Let the elite's send their sons and daughters to fight.
FREEDOM is inherently free. Othewise you are not talking about freedom.
We live under the illusion of freedom. We are not free. Our government has enslaved us to Global Bankers.
You can't be free if you aren't educated. Some people think they are free because they don't know any better.
I am proud to be an American! I wish we could reestablish the morals and ethics of the "happened". Our young people have no clue what we are talking about.

In my neighborhood I am the only one who put out a flag. It was great to drive into NIthsdale today to celebrate with friends and see the entrance was lined with the American Flag. Thank you!
It is the folks like 5:06 who have ruined this country! Probably never served or had a proud monent in thier life! I am afraid all may be lost for our great nation if we don't wake up soon adn take it back from the bleeding heart liberals. No i am not of any political party! I am American and proud of it!
